Itinerary Overview

This 8-day lodge safari offers an unforgettable journey through some of Tanzania’s most iconic wildlife destinations. The itinerary takes you through the heart of the country’s Northern Circuit, including Tarangire National Park, the world-renowned Serengeti, and the Ngorongoro Crater—also known as the “Garden of Eden” for its rich biodiversity.

Highlights of the tour include the chance to witness the spectacular Great Wildebeest Migration, with potential sightings of herds crossing the Mara River, one of nature’s most dramatic events. You will also visit Lake Manyara, famed for its tree-climbing lions and diverse birdlife, and Tarangire, known for its ancient baobab trees and large elephant populations. Comfortable lodge accommodations throughout the journey ensure a relaxing and immersive safari experience.

Day by day itinerary
DAY 1: Arrival

At Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) on arrival in Tanzania you will meet with one of our company representative who will welcome you and transfer you from the airport to Arusha town. You will spend the night in this busy tourist town, where you will get short briefing from our representative at hotel and leave you to relax for while, in evening you will get dinner.

Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

After enjoying your breakfast and picnic lunch, you’ll embark on a 2-hour drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park. Once you arrive, immerse yourself in morning game viewing in this stunning park, renowned for its iconic Baobab and Acacia trees. Keep an eye out for a diverse array of wildlife, including zebras, elephants, giraffes, and waterbucks. Following your exciting game drive, you’ll return for a delicious dinner to wrap up your day.

DAY 3: Tarangire national Park – Serengeti National Park

After a hearty breakfast, you will pack your belongings into the safari vehicle and begin your journey with an en-route game drive toward Serengeti National Park, enjoying a packed lunch along the way.  Upon arrival, you will embark on a late afternoon game drive in the central Serengeti, offering the chance to spot wildlife against the backdrop of a spectacular savanna sunset. After the game drive, you will proceed to your campsite for dinner and an overnight stay. The Serengeti is world-famous for its vast plains and the annual Great Migration, where over 1.5 million wildebeest, accompanied by zebras, gazelles, and other herbivores, traverse the ecosystem in search of fresh grazing—followed closely by predators. Your guide will help maximize your chances of witnessing this extraordinary natural event.

Day 4: Central serengeti – Northern Serengeti

Rise early for a hearty breakfast before an exciting game drive in northern Serengeti National Park to witness the Great Wildebeest Migration. Key spots include the Mara River and Ndutu Plains, with river crossings at Kogatende from July. Between July and October, crossings peak daily as herds follow rains and fresh grasses. In late June and July, the migration moves northwest, offering prime wildlife encounters and thrilling predator action amid stunning African landscapes.

5 Days: Northern Serengeti (Kogatende)

Today, you’ll wake up early and enjoy a full breakfast before setting out for an exciting day of exploration in Serengeti National Park. Your driver will take you to key areas within the park, ensuring you stay on the trail of the wildebeest migration.

The Great Migration is a dynamic event that varies each year, with the best chances of witnessing it occurring from June to September. During this time, the wildebeest typically migrate northward, and your driver will take you to northern Serengeti, where you can witness the dramatic river crossings at the Mara River.

Day 6: Northern Serengeti – Central Srengeti

This day after breakfast morning, we will take your packed lunch for a full day game drives in the wilderness tracking the Great migration trails. Thorough explanation about this great world event that Tanzania proud of will be provided. And in the evening as the sun goes down, drive back for dinner and overnigh

Day 7: Central Serengeti – Ngrorongoro Highland

You’ll wake up at 5:45 AM to enjoy an early breakfast while watching the sun rise over the Serengeti. After breakfast, you’ll embark on an exhilarating morning game drive, exploring the park until 11:30 AM.

After lunch, you’ll continue your game drive through Serengeti as you make your way to the Ngorongoro Crater, soaking in the breathtaking landscapes and wildlife along the way.

In the late afternoon hours you will get drive to Karatu Town. 

Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

You’ll wake up around 5:30 AM for breakfast before embarking on a thrilling descent to the floor of Ngorongoro Crater. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to see the Big Five, along with various bird species and the elusive black rhino.

During the day, you’ll enjoy lunch in the crater, surrounded by stunning landscapes and high concentrations of flamingos. After an exciting 6 to 7 hours of game driving on the crater floor, you’ll drive back to Arusha.
